Battery replaced & registered Dec 2013. I believe the [electronic] water pump was also done recently, not 100% sure.
The JBE is the central data interface in the vehicle (gateway for the buses). The JBE is a component of the junction box. The junction box is an assembly consisting of the junction box electronics and front distribution box. The front distribution box and JBE can not be replaced individually.
iTrader: ( 0) Battery may or may not be on the way out. Best way to tell is get the battery on a battery tender and see if it will fully charge and hold the charge. Two things could result that would tell you it's time for a new battery: 1) It charges to full (green light) but then discharges soon thereafter.
Most electrical problems can be easily fixed by checking the following: The location of the fuse box on a BMW. Most BMWs have the fuse box located in the glove box compartment. Older BMWs have it in the trunk near the battery, so check both these locations. Check for bad fuses by taking them out one by one.

There are two types of tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) on 2009-13 BMW 3-Series E90 vehicles. The Flat Tire Monitor (FTM) system uses the ABS to measure each tire’s rolling radius changes and with it, the rotational speed of the wheels.
One other thing to check is the condition of the positive battery lead where it protrudes though the right-rear wheel well. It can get corroded too. You'll have to peel back the rear of the fender liner and pull the battery to get a good look at both sides. Good luck with it.
Mar 5, 2017. #5. Hmmm, it might be that the actual starter has failed. It's not an uncommon failure on N46 engines. Thing is, the car stood for two years. Ideally, the car would need to be checked out properly as there might be a few other issues at play here as well.

And, of course, the cable 61129312133. OPTIONAL: Magnetic tray holder, makes life easier. Steps: 1) Disconnect the battery and leave your trunk open. If you have split seats, I highly recommend you fold them down just in case. 2) Remove cup holders. Use a trim tool to gently pry open the compression tabs.
scratch that, alternator was bad, just not bad enough to throw a code. Only charging at 12.7-12.8, should've been 13.5-14.0. Nearly killed the battery (was down around 12.0v when alt. was bad and measured from batt terminals,) maybe my experience chasing gremlins will help someone else. edit for clarity
