71 posts · Joined 2021. #3 · Apr 21, 2021. I've also been told that sometimes during the recall the ECU forgets the high pressure fuel pump control and the car will then run and idle but will be flat and miss fire due to low fuel pressure. The ECU needs to relearn or be coded for the pump.
This is not new and seems to have started with the Ford 1.8TDCI engine as a timing belt, but the Peugeot predates the ford in using a wet belt but to drive the fuel pump. Ford and PSA have collaborated to create a bunch of shared engines in the past so the connection is quite natural.

I have a 1.2 Puretech 110 (turbo model) cactus and I am getting an intermittent issue with an engine stutter at higher revs. It tends to happen when you are pushing the engine a bit harder, when overtaking or joining the motorway. The engine will occasionally shudder/stutter for a second and lose power then continue accelerating.
