🎄 Koss Porta Pro Review Reddit
The porta pro has a warmer sound signature but the KSC75 has a brighter one which i prefer. The KSC75 sounds a lot like my ISines but they lack a bit of bass that you get by having something that goes into your ear. Both of them I'd definitely recommend over Earpods. The only issue with both is that comfort is a bit weird to some.
I have the Koss KSC75 headphones, which have hooks that clip around the ears, what you see here is the drivers from KSC75 that have been combined with a headband from Koss Porta Pro headphones. KSC75 can be had for $20 whereas Porta Pro are about $50. But I think it's totally worth.
It really depends on what you'd prefer if you'd want something in your ears or on your ears if you were thinking of going Koss. I own all the koss products that tend to get mentioned a lot. (Porta Pro, KSC75, KPH30i, KPH40 with yaxi pads and other mods). I would say the Koss KSC75 is more enjoyable to me, because I don't really care for bass
I owned Porta Pro's back in early 2000's and recently purchased a new pair out of nostalgia. Things that one should know about them: They are reasonably cheap. They are quite comfortable - i.e. lightweight, not too much pressure on a head (by this varies from owner to owner), unique folding mechanism that makes them fit in a tiny bag.
A bit farther than I'd go, but the Porta Pro and the KSC75 (which I prefer) are vital to keep you grounded in this hobby. They're so fucking good for so cheap. As for better headphones, there are plenty that are better and more enjoyable but I think the HD650 seems to be the ultimate successor to the Porta Pro in my mind. DT 880 for the KSC75.

Koss PortaPro's review I recently had the joy of picking up a pair of these things for $28 with the Kramer mod, and also included with this was the KSC75 ear clips (currently wearing those!) and a pair of VE Monks which have been abandoned for now.
Koss Portas w/yaxi is easily my favorite dynamic driver headphone sound..really wish I could have had this back when joining head-fi. The collection would be a bit smaller than it is now. These things really kick, rumble and image much better than I would expect..even if the sound is a touch dark it helps their cause.
Here’s a DIY I put together to have a detachable cable on the Porta Pro. Pretty simple nothing fancy. The goal is not to spend a lot on the cable or no more than the headphones. And the cable only cost $8 2.5mm Female Jack. Here’s the DIY link. Enjoy!!! DIY Koss Porta Pro with Detachable Cable
plazman30. • 2 yr. ago. My KPH40s arrived. I bought them from Koss.com and ordered the 2.5mm to Lightning adapter, which includes a 24/96 dongle DAC/headphone amp with inline controls. When you buy them together, the dongle DAC/amp is only $20.00.
This is a review and detailed measurements of the KOSS Porta Pro on-ear headphones. It was kindly purchased and donated to the forum for review. It costs US $50. This is an ultra light headphone that folds into a very small package: You barely feel it on your ear and that is it. It is extremely comfortable for me.
Ye ye right, they are legendary for sure, but saying nothing will ever beat them is little bitkph30i for instance beating them easy, sporta pro only few db stronger some1 will say,ill take sporta cuz i dont need amp, even ksc75 is pretty decent challenger due to warmer sound and balanced bass, and no1 making fake ksc75 or kph30i or sporta pros, market is poluted with fake porta pros..
